Daryl Sadgrove

Director and Exercise Physiologist
Daryl is a fellow and current Director of Exercise and Sport Science Australia and Director of Allied Health Professions Australia. Daryl is one of Australia’s most recognised Exercise Physiologists and health educators. Daryl specialises in cardiac conditions, diabetes, muscle and bone conditions and cancer and has research interests in understanding human behaviour and its relationship with maintaining healthy lifestyle. He is one of the country’s leading advocates for physical activity and chronic disease management and has been involved in a number of government initiatives.
Sara Grafenauer
BSc (Nutrition) MSc (Nutr & Diet) APD
Dietetic Services Coordinator
Sara is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with 13 years experience. She has a passion for food and cooking and communicates this with great enthusiasm in her client consultations. Sara also lectures at Wollongong University in the nutrition program where her research interests are in the area of satiety signalling and functional foods.
Jaclyn Richardson

Operations Manager and Exercise Physiologist
Jaclyn is an Exercise Physiologist with a wide range of skills specialising in cardiac rehabilitation. As a board member for the Cardiac Rehab Association of New South Wales and the ACT, Jaclyn keeps up to date with the latest in cardiovascular research which she regularly applies to the programs she manages at Movement Medicine. A motivating and enthusiastic member of our team, Jaclyn is continually being praised by clients who have greatly benefited from her motivation and guidance.
Tessa Piper

Policy Officer
Tessa is a talented Exercise Physiologist who specialises in chronic disease management for people with intellectual disabilities. Tessa has also completed a Masters in Public Health and is passionate about health promotion and contributing to public policy in health and physical activity. An organiser and manager at heart, our operations manager runs a tight ship at Movement Medicine to ensure we continue to deliver quality services.

A recent graduate of the Exercise Science and Rehabilitation degree at the University of Wollongong, Chrissy has brought her knowledge of the latest in scientific research to contribute to our diabetes and weight loss services. An up and coming star of the Exercise Physiology industry, Chrissy is also currently coordinating our Over 60's Health and Wellness Program. A sincere and considerate member of our team, Chrissy has a flair for helping people feel comfortable in achieving their goals for health and happiness.

Sue Curtis PhD

Behavioural Specialist
Sue Curtis has more than twenty years experience in facilitating and guiding people to make self-managed change. From one-on-one mentoring to strategic organisational initiatives, Sue has worked with individuals and groups in a wide range of environments. Her specialisations include: supporting clients in lifestyle change and life transitions and overcoming individual and health-related challenges; mentoring individuals and groups in self-directed professional learning; and facilitating leadership and team learning for improved health-related service provision. Her aim is to work in partnership with people to achieve enhanced quality of life and work through self-directed, meaningful and effective action.
Owen Curtis

Project Manager
Owen coordinated the Exercise Science program at the University of Wollongong for many years and has considerable experience in the design and delivery of exercise and physical activity interventions for a wide range of individuals, from elite athletes to people who are housebound. Owen has been a visionary in the field of Exercise Science. Owen is currently involved with projects including the Better Balance Program, the Renal Unit at Illawarra Health, with Aboriginal Vascular Health, and with the Illawarra Retirement Trust.

The Illawarra's leading sports physiotherapist, Cat has represented Australia both as an athlete and as a team physiotherapist. Cat has provided sports physiotherapy services to numerous athletes and teams including rugby, sailing, hockey, gymnastics and skiing to name only a few. Cat is passionate about applying the latest research to her work.

Nikki is a talented physiotherapist who is committed to patient care and holistic wellbeing. Nikki has a keen interest in sports such as AFL and netball. She also has a special interest in spinal care including backs and necks and has experience in respiratory and post trauma and surgical populations.
